whats my welder

Hi recently join the forum and finding it very helpful as i am abit of a newbie to welding and i was wondering if any body could help me with any ideas on what my welder is

I felt confident initially guessing it was a Cebora, but having done a quick Google image search it did not appear...so I am afraid it's a from me.

very strange to have the reel exposed on this machine and must be the type as the OP has his open too

It looks Sealey.

But, with the exposed reel and power setting switch in a different place, it isn't.

Looks like the one Stan has posted, albeit with the wire feed and torch connection moved.

Thanks for your ideas stil not really sure tho but someone else did tell me they thought it was a old cebora but doesnt seem to look like any of them.
i ask as i required it through a family member and have no use for it as i have my own one but have used a few times and all seems to work well so was going to sell it on but cant with out
knowing what it is really

It does look as if it's sort of styled on a Sealey, but I've never seen one vaguely like it. Apart from Stan's of course!
So no ideas at all.

There's a similar looking one on ebay now with the open wirefeed mechanism, for spares or repairs. I won't give the link but - mig welder - used - for parts or not working - should find it. It's a MightyMig 90 and looks to be the little brother of yours. MightyMig has always been a Sealey name and Sealey have for a long time rebadged Telwin.

You could try getting in touch with Sealey or with Telwin and see if they can give you a better idea what it is and maybe you can get a manual out of them. I've no idea what either of them are like to deal with in things like this.

I am sticking with my Cebora guess, just wish I could remember where I saw one like it...think it was in real life and not on the net.

I suspect though you could find the same machine with minor cosmetic changes under several of the makers brands from the 80's.
