Hello everyone,
I thought there would perhaps be an endless thread here about lathes as well as vices or whatever else has just been acquired, but I couldn't find anything, so I started a thread of my own.
The lathe pictured is based on a popular type from Taiwan, which was made there by several manufacturers over at least three decades with more or less large variations and sold all over the world under dozens of (fancy) names (AB, Brazier's TY110, Busy-Bee, Carolina, Grizzly DF-1224G, Elpha DF-1224G, Enco, Everest, Forbes Glen, Hafco AL350A, Honden Visa, Himount, Husky PC-36, Huvema HU23, JET-1024, Kin Shin, KS-3.5, Lantaine, Leopard, Lin Huan, Lux-Cut, Manhattan, Mascot SS-23, McMillan, Mikron Mk-24, MS, MSC, Peerless, Romac, Select, S.E.M.C.O., Stebbins, Warco, Wey YII Corp, etc.).
The type of machine was often given in inches from the values for centre height and centre width, e.g. 1122, 1224, etc.
My question: which type sold in your country corresponds most closely to the machine shown?
I can still offer some detailed pictures, I have made the designations of name, importer and machine dealer unrecognisable in the picture so as not to distract.
Many thanks in advance
Greets
