Wheel arch protection TR6

Hi all

I could do with some clarification on a couple of point that when I search on come up
with some contradictory comments.
I have striped my TR6 back to bare metal and applied two coats of epoxy primer. I now intend to seal all the wheel arch areas with tiger seal and then either prime and
then stone chip or maybe seal, more epoxy then stone chip and finally topcoat with
The cellulose body colour (Damson)
I’m worried about the tiger seal reacting with the primer. I intend to use DINITROL 447 as the stone chip.
I’m at the epoxy primer stage at present so what way would you suggest
To end up with all seams sealed, stone chip and cellulose finish.

I've been doing the same on our TR5, you won't have any problems with tigerseal reacting with primer or paint. BUT just beware some stonguard makes can react with old paint....but I'm guessing if it's on Epoxy you should be fine....might be worth doing a little test piece out of the way....another thing, make sure the tigerseal is fully cured before paint as that could cause a reaction.

So, Epoxy Primer> Tigerseal > Stoneguard > Paint.....that's what I'd do

Dinitrol 447 is really good stuff and adheres superbly to smooth painted surfaces, I'm pleased I paid that little bit extra as it's definately worth it.
