i scrounged the cartriges used on face masks but can be bought from arco then fit them into a soil pipe with stop.ends and put a regulating tap and water seperator on it. its quite crude but does the job only cost 15 quid .

Phasesonix, while Brightspark is obviously happy to use his home-made one I'd STRONGLY suggest that you buy a proper approved one.
This is something that you're relying on to keep you alive.

that looks good-if I have time I might go down this route.

im verry happy and safe to use the home made filter. with active carbon filter .:: it has a sundstrom sr297 abec 1 filter system in it so if anybody wants to look up the data sheet on it there quite welcome /ps ive been using them 30 years shotblasting and painting and havent any health problems

Ha ha another nice job done there brightspark. You should'nt control flow with a ball or gate valve tho, they are off or on only valves. 9/10 tho.
