Hello,
I bought a 35 cfm petrol compressor and am wondering which type of battery is best for irregular intermittant use. The unit will be outside in an insulated “shed”.
So, would that be lead-acid/gel/agm.?
just started and ran my mobile comp for 20 mins and took the big battery off it and recharged it in shed. generaly stick the charger on it after a month if i can remember when not in use
Thanks for your input.
I have had lots of bad luck with lead acid batteries, especially laid up projects (CTEK charger attached)
I may try the airflow one.
Hello, I've found that my battery conditioner chargers need resetting after a power cut. Which is a pain if the power flicks off long enough to upset them but not the microwave or alarm clock.
2nd the solar panel suggestion.
You can get a panel and controller for about the same price as a trickle charger.
The only problem is you need to mount it somewhere where the oiks cant nick it but keep it accessible enough to clean off now and again.
My generator has a 12v lighter type socket in the control panel so I plug the solar into that.
