which model for a quite compressor

I've currently got a new 100 LTR Clark compressor, which works fine no problam's with it at all, but it's noisy.

So I thinking of buying a new quitter model, I only need something that give me 100 psi so do any of you have any surgestions with regards to which type/model to be looking at.

It also as to be very quite as I work from home and the things going to be on all day, and in constant use, so I don't want something that going to be running of air throughout the day. Got to be very quite though.

It depends on how much CFM you need.

In general, a belt drive compressor is quieter than direct drive. A big one will be noisy though.

There are some quiet ones but their CFM is low.

its the CFM you need to worry about rather then psi, although air tools do state a maximum pressure they also state how many CFM is needed to run the tool, not enough and the compressor runs out of air quickly

You need a screw type compressor, look out for a Hydrovane, Ingersoll Rand or Fiac. Piston type compressors are noisy and there's nothing you can do about it.
