When i spray 2pack i always use fast reducer. my thinking is the paint dries to tack quiker and less prone to sag on wet coat. am i right?how much finnish quality do i sacrifice?
I'm no expert with 2K systems, but I am not aware odf any quality difference in 2K thinners (reducer), I think it is all the same.
I know with cellulose paint there are different grades, anti-bloom, top gloss etc, but I'm not aware of the same with 2K.
Could well be wide of the mark though.
There are different speed reducers, for different ambient temp conditions. Also different speed hardeners, so you can mix and match. Warm conditions with fast everything means it starts setting up quicker in the gun, so have to be aware of that or it gets syrupy and won't flow out well.
PS I use fast hardener+reducer doing bike-sized bits so don't usually have to worry about qtys and going off. Finish is good, no peel, just normal flat & polish needed.
