Which wire goes where?

Anywhere you like except in the neutral, its just 3 phase and earth, if its on a motor and it runs backwards then swap any two of them over, looks like a welder though.

although it's practically immaterial, I always follow the convention Red L1, yellow L2 and blue L3 (I assume the colour is down to the camera, blue looking black?)

That's what I thought Paul, I rang a spark mate up but he seemed to think the white went in the neutral.

The colours are red, white, black. American welding set.

Unless it's American colours, red, white & black, connections are still the same if it's 3 phase.

In Lethal Weapon 3 Riggs cuts the blue wire. That's the sum of my electrical knowlege. Any help?

Careful, white is neutral.

Google 'American three phase wire colours' or similar, there's loads of images showing the colours.

So apparently.....

It does not matter where each colour wire goes. Even on single phase. Put them any where, Millers patented auto-line technology detects which one is which and runs from that.
