OK bought a 600mm whip hose, mainly ‘cos “they” say you should; presumably to protect the crimped on XF quick release connectors on 2 new PCL hoses 10m and 15m. (not 100% convinced its important)
So I was going to screw the Whip male threaded end into the gun.
But then thought, for ease of storage/connection to other tools. Why not get a male 1/4 adaptor, and screw that into the gun, and another 1/4” female QR connector and attach to the whip hose where the black “Speed Reducer” is currently attached.
Concept being IF ?? air guns destroy QR Connectors, then I sacrifice this proposed one @ £7.60 from Screwfix, and protect the crimped on ones on 2 new hoses.
Q. Is this worth it?
Q. Is their any other reason one uses a Whip hose (honestly dont understand the logic around these).
Especially when my Whip Hose is the same 10mm ID as the main hoses.
Note the speed reducer is only used when undoing the Lawnmowers centralised bolt i.e. “allegedly tames the max 270 Nm power of the gun. Not yet tried it, but for £8 worth a punt?
Plus can be used on sanders to reduce the speed at a later date.
