I notice a few videos of people using small pencil type end wire brushes in die grinders and so went off looking for one so the old man can get on with cleaning all the little re-cesses and holes in the Fourtrak alloys which a normal wire brush can't get too.
Am I missing something or are all the 6mm shank wire brushes only rated for drill speeds (4500rpm) rather than the 22000 rpm that the die grinder could potentially achieve? There seems to be plenty of 3mm shank ones for dremels and the like which are rated for high speed but ours died a while ago and I'm not replacing it. So for those using them in die grinders is it a simple case of just keeping the speed down with the trigger or are there 6mm shank brushes out there somewhere rated for higher speeds?
