Hello dear E0788 victims.
I do own a Oerlikon MiniCito 180 machine that did the job for many years.
Recently the wire feed started to fail.
Since I hate dumping things that seem to have a maybe rather cheap electronic part failure after such a long and reliable duty I'd like to see if we can get it repaired.
I couldn't find any wiring diagrams or manuals yet (and I google a lot).
Looks like thread https://www.mig-welding.co.uk/forum/threads/clarke-185e-no-wire-feed.114411/ is the best matching one out there and looks like you guys know the matter.
So here is my problem:
When I pull the trigger I can see (and hear) the main welding current switches click clack (flicker) and I see some sparks in the little 24V Relais but there is no wire feed.
I also see LEDs 4 and 5 on permanently and 3 comes on when I pull the trigger.
Since it stopped working under normal welding and the wire can be pulled out manually I doubt there is a mechanical thing like blocked nozzle or hose etc.
Is there another probable issue that causes some kind of backfire to the PCB?
Before I start at the wrong end do you guys assume it's the "yellow box" (feed circuit) of the PCB in the pictures above or could that be simply the little relais?
Which of course would be easy to replace.
Any help is really appreciated!
Best regards
HF
