Wiring up a Clarke CSW13T Spot Welder

Hi All,

I have finally got round to getting an electrician in to wire up my garage for my compressor and welders. I also got my Clarke spot welder out and read the instructions which say I must use a 25amp supply.

Now I have 2 questions so I get this right:

1/ do I have to wire the spot welder direct into a 25amp isolator?

2/ what is the best way to extend the cable? Can I use some kind of extension cable or use some kind of male/female connection.

Any help appreciated

Ask your sparky to instal a 32Amp socket and fit coresponding plug to welder, you can make up an extension lead with the same plugs / sockets, your sparky will advise on cable size required for length.
