Lad is printing a full size pistol from some computer game for one of his mates. In the game the gun has wood grips.
He found this, a script that adds "texture" (thanks to temperature gradients), so as to get horizontal stripes that "look like wood".
The effect isn't too bad, you can see the raised lines. Tbh this woodgrain PLA always looks a bit rough and is pretty tough on nozzles and tubes. Nothing a bit of sanding won't sort:
