Hi All!
So the next project in the Man Cave I think needs to be a proper workbench at the back of the Man Cave.
I have 2.6m on the back wall, and 3.1m on the side (there will be an overlap in the corner on those dimensions) so plenty of space for an L-Shaped bench.
I think I know how high to make it, approx 1m from the deck as this is a comfy height and we use similar at work when building packing benches etc.
But I'm wondering about the depth. On the side I can do 700mm max, but at the back I was thinking about 800mm, though it could come out further, what do you guys think?
It'll be used for some welding, as well as just general bodging, and will have a couple of vices bolted to it.
I'm thinking of a 5mm steel top - would that make sense? And probably 40mm/2mm box for the frame.
Any advice would be appreciated!
