I built my first proper welding bench a couple of days ago, thought i'd upload a few photos

it's about 3ft x 4ft not quite though it's something metric just over 4 ft just under 3 ft

10mm surface, 50x50x2.5mm box frame, weighs about 150kg, was pretty hard turning it over by my self i can tell you haha

welderpaul, it's a pretty wide angle photo the workshop is small haha, it's flat in real life

Nice job.
If its going against a wall I'd tack a upstand along the back and, perhaps, part way down the sides to keep things on it. I use old carpet tiles on mine to stop stuff slipping about and deaden any hammering.

think i'm just gunna keep it accessible from all sides, i've also drilled and tapped the surface and bolted a record 84 vice to it now
