I'm not going to win any awards for project-of-the-month but they all make a little difference, here and there. Well, possibly not Sumpy the reindeer or the soon-to-be-started Stella the stegosaurus but hey...

So the next project is one to ensure that I'm comfortable while I ponder all the other useless projects that I've not yet started. Never mind your replica 1/4 scale railways, full-size stock cars or milled-to-100th-mm carburetor pieces... I give you;

Raw materials, with mug for scale;

initial inspiration taken from Jody @ welding tips and tricks, but I plan to shape a wooden seat so that it is not all shameless plagiarism...

I bought one many years ago out in Australia and was amazed what the wood carvers out there could produce with one. I'm sure a Google search would yield some videos of it in use.

Used it a couple of times back here, then lent it to a friend for a specific job and never saw it again.......

Cheers - I was going to start with a flap disk and see what happened with that. I've got tons of old pine so don't mind making a mess of a few early versions.

you wouldn't believe the speed it works at, nor the volume of chips it produces. If you dropped the grinder it's eat your house.

I did the same not long ago. But I used a gas ram from and battered office chair. Just extended one side of it. Will not post as I rushed it lol. Does the job though.

Black country metal works do tractor seats from 30quid, your going to spend 30quid or more in time mate
