Would it be safe to stand this compressor up?

Hi

I picked this up from a Facebook seller a while back and would like to stand it up as it takes up a bit of space:

My plan is to make a cradle to sit the receiver in, take the wheels off to bolt it to the wall and spin the compressor so it is the correct way up like this:

I will probably put some cross bars in the cradle for strength, apart from that can anyone see any issues with doing this?

don't see a problem, don't be welding to the tank though as this could cause brittle steel around the welds on an old unknown insides.

The compressor & tank don't need to be anywhere near each other.
You could set the tank in the attic, remote the drain with a small run of tubing.

From experience I would suggest heat, (MAPP torch ideal), followed by an impact wrench - it will come out no problem.

No matter how it get's mounted, the bottom plug will have to be removed, to install a drain valve.
