wurth spray bottle question

im after some quality pump up spray bottles and led to believe wurth are worth it

im seeing red caps , black caps , grey and and blue triggers ...all seem to suggest brake cleaner resistant , one is a foamer , even their own website isnt that clear

anyone know what does what , or are they just random colours

White bottle red cap i have, i've run tonnes of break cleaner through it and it's the only one that hasn't broken down. I've had expensive german Metso ones that are pants in comparison.

Wurth bottles are made by Klaeger the trigger and nozzle colours are codes for the seal type and plasics used but the Wurth bottles don't follow standard Klaeger colours, instead you have to check the part number and know what you are spraying to be sure, the Holt brake cleaner I am using is Naphtha based which most suitable according to this, https://eshop.wurth.co.uk/is-bin/IN...D=0891503001@3108-B1&MimeType=application/pdf

Or buy a red Klaeger, they are normally about £5 cheaper than wurth bottles on ebay.

The wurth pump up spray bottles are excellent, had mine since 2016 and still use it daily at work.

For brake cleaner it is definitely wurth or be prepared to replace in 12months. The rest of them seem utter crap.
Wurth pump bottles do last 10+years.

I got some of these - even other makes with Viton seals fail - to be honest it only the Wurth ones that have survived brake cleaner.

interesting , Ive a wurth one thats filled with water for fires when welding and cooling things in a hurry , it a white bottle and a red cap , its never missed a beat .
brake cleaner ones are all white with black caps they last ages .

I've tried fitting viton o-rings to the cheaper spray bottles to spray wd40/brake cleaner & they only last a week or 2 before they stop working.

The Wurth sprayers are excellent. I have a red top one and a black top one. Both have brake cleaner in them and never had an issue. They hold pressure for weeks on end and zero leaks!

I did have a couple of that other German one mentioned. One did break when dropped only a couple feet on the ground (top part sprung a leak under pressure) so I gave up on that idea of saving £5 and bought my second Wurth one!

I had a Sealey one that would withstand brake cleaner - but I dropped and broke it...

I was going to use a Nylex pump sprayer that had been used for weed killer then left, it was
new, for the summer in the sun.
As I pumped it up water/weedkiller sprayed out from cracks in the base of the bottle.
It hadn't been dropped so I am going to assume it was as good as the polythene
5l cans that get left outside and fall apart after a bit of sun.

Some further information on these sprayers.

I had 2no Wurth sprayers which I used for brake cleaner. They have been fantastic.

Then I bought a slightly cheaper version and used that for wheel cleaner. Some weeks later it dropped off a shelf and I went to use it and no worky. So I ordered another one of the same as it looked almost identical to the Wurth ones.

Today I went to use that second one and it was also broken!

Further investigation revealed that the wheel cleaner had clogged up the nozzles and that was the real issue.

So I now have 4x total sprayers all working perfect after stripping and cleaning all of them today when I was at it.

I can confirm these type linked below are slightly cheaper than the Wurth ones and they are absolutely identical in every way except the bottle Shape is slightly different. But made in Germany by the same company.

What was in your wheel cleaner? Generally if a bottle is good for brake cleaner it is unsuitable for wheel cleaners. Better quality bottles may last a while with the wrong fluid but even in a professional environment if it's not giving years of service the wrong bottle was used.

It is a bleeding fallout wheel cleaner type. The issue was with the solution itself it creates and leaves crusty buildup and jambs up the nozzles on these sprayers
