Anyone on the forum have any knowledge of the Zollern winch which you use with a chainsaw to power it? I've got one here that has a damaged clutch and I can't find any info on them and more importantly a dealer who might have parts. Don't know if they were ever very popular over here. It's quite a comprehensive bit of kit with a drum to contain the cable and snatch block etc but unless I can find some info and spares it's not a lot of use.

I believe they are German but now have an office in China so I suspect some Chinese input parts wise.

The commobn problem with quality winches is the parts to repair them often cost more than a new cheap winch

Is it the clutch drum or the clutch unit on the engine (if you have the power unit as well) you need?
I've search and whilst there's loads of info about the massive ship winches etc that they make, very little about the chainsaw winch. Unfortunately, it was part dismantled by someone else so I don't even have the knowledge gained from doing this.
The clutch on the unit. Suspect it was abused by the tree surgeon operative !

I believe it is called a PW17. So searching for 'zollern pw17' could find some stuff.
