As a newbie without a pedal I kinda like the amp control on the parweld torch but I truly hate the heavy/stiff hose. Is it possible to swap it out for a nice Flexi hose like the CK torches?
Are the CK torches really worth the premium price? Happy spending the money if they are but I see an awful lot of much cheaper 9 and 17 torches advertised.I like flex heads but I have arthritis in my wrists so it helps quite fancy a go with a flex-lock.
with the Jasic the first thing I did was remove the neoprene cover and replace with a leather one, both lighter and more flexable As @Hood said

Worth the money I dont know, but Ido know going from a big chunky 26 torch from paraweld, to a wp9 ck the difference is incredible. I now use a water cooled ck 20.Are the CK torches really worth the premium price? Happy spending the money if they are but I see an awful lot of much cheaper 9 and 17 torches advertised.
Guessing that's the one with the slimmer body to the bulky one I've got. If so, that's the kinda thing I'd like to try. Looks so much more comfortable than mine.I use a parweld wp17 flex head in work I've got that used to it I sometimes think about getting one for home
It is I don't like standard torches the wp17 is quite stiff until warmed up, I had a binzel version but think the parweld wp17 is better had it at 200 amps and down to 58 amps on ac the curent one is around 7 months old mainly used between 70-120amps on 1.5-2mm aluminium, be warned its not that flexible until warmed upGuessing that's the one with the slimmer body to the bulky one I've got. I'm not so worried about the flexibility. I just feel the stock torch with the controls on it can feel really bulky and watching YouTube videos of people holding a straight handled torch almost like a pencil looks so much more comfortable. It is I don't like standard torches the wp17 is quite stiff until warmed up, I had a binzel version but think the parweld wp17 is better had it at 200 amps and down to 58 amps on ac the curent one is around 7 months old mainly used between 70-120amps on 1.5-2mm aluminium, be warned its not that flexible until warmed up
What plug was that, the 14 pin one?The Parweld Pro WP17 torches although of a similar shape to the WP26 you have, are much smaller so will feel less bulky.
With regards the plug, last time I bought one it was about £12 from R S Components.
EDIT
I am actually thinking of the WP9 that is the same size as the WP20.
Think I'd rather try the CK style straight bodied torch. Do you know if I could just uncouple the hose from my parweld torch and screw on another to save buying a new hose or is there some proprietary shenanigans inside?Pic of a WP20 on left and a WP18 on right. The WP18 is the same size as the WP26 just it is water cooled. The WP20 is the same size as a WP9 but again water cooled.
