Hi all
I’ve taken to restoring a 1956 morris minor and decided that I’d like to try and learn the art of welding to save some pennies and also have an extra skill under my belt..
I bought an autojack mig130 gas less welder in the summer and have had a few tries.. but I’m struggling to get anything near untidy let alone neat.
My effort today is probably how my previous efforts have gone. I don’t seem to be able to run a stream.. I just get a lot of spatter and all I’m trying to do is run some lines down some scrap steel.
Ive hopefully posted a picture of what I’m talking about. Could someone help me with some clues ideas please? I keep thinking it’s maybe the wire speed? Or… and I’m probably guilty of this today… I may not have cleaned the surface off as well as needed. I’ve had a look at the tutorials and will keep trying but just wondered if anyones experienced eye could guide me on the right path please.
Thank you very much!!
Dougie
