If anyone wants to build one you want to search "scara robot" there is a number of arm build guides that's the easy part.
More importantly there is scara grbl Arduino that will run gcode and convert it to the correct movements
I remember when ASEA (later ABB) added them to their range in the 80's, never really took off, the only one I saw was the demonstrator at the HQ in Milton Keynes, I don't think they sold many.
The portable usage could be used with a simple oxy/propane machine torch and hand valve manifold:Never heard of it and was initially sceptical, but my few minutes of googling has turned up that it was an indiegogo project initially. To be honest, if anyone was going to complain, it would be on here so I guess these backers at least were pleased with what they got

....although.... I just read that you still need to supply your own plasma cutter (and compressor) so I guess it's cheaper than a CNC plasma table but still not an impulse purchase!
