Ok guys last time I did any brazing was a school 40 ish years ago !
I have some brazing rods sif no 1 I think and also a stick of silver solder and some powder flux ....
I have a banjo fitting joined onto a 12 mm steel pipe and the existing brazed joint is cracked
I've cleaned the paint off and mixed the flux with water and a drop of washing up liquid
I can't get enough heat into it with a mapp gas and small brazing torch
I'm assuming it needs to be red hot ,
I haven't got a firebrick or whatever to concentrate the heat
Any tips or general advice please
( I do have a propane plumbers torch as well so maybe use both torches to get it proper hot ? )
Cheers Mike
