I bought 3x Oregon chains off Amazon for €25, I'll never buy anything else, they're 10x better than the Stihl I've always bought.
I use a cordless circular saw,
or a chop saw ,
quicker and less mess than a chain saw..
Thanks, that middle link works out OK, still a premium for a very small chain but that’s to be expected I guess due to low demand. Hopefully that will change as these little saws are really handy..325 chain has a slightly wider cut than 1/4" and less teeth, but it is stronger and a little easier to sharpen. You can get a 1/4" conversion for the chain saws (don't know about the pruner saws ) but if you're cutting rough wood like pallets the .325 chain will last longer.

I spoke to the oregon rep recently about 80txl and it's something to do with the patent on them or something. I think stihl came up with it originally. Thanks, that middle link works out OK, still a premium for a very small chain but that’s to be expected I guess due to low demand.
