I had a crash yesterday (6" cast iron pulley leapt out of the chuck - scary stuff!) and the result was I'd lost long feed and cross feed. (and also broke a Dixon T2 tool holder )
The feed shaft into the apron IS turning so I'm assuming maybe the key driving the worm has sheared or maybe the feed trip mechanism has broken releasing the pointed dog clutch thingy.
Has anyone stripped a Master 2500 apron and can offer advice as to the best way 'in' ! I have the manual but the exploded diagrams are not the best (or maybe I'm dim!)
Trouble is the machine is in a position making withdrawing the feed and screw cutting shafts impossible without skating it.
(I emphasise that the feed shaft IS turning so it's not the shear pin up at the chuck end)
