Always bought ready made hoses for the tractor hydraulics - much safer.

Yes, I have seen those but never had one to try. Aside from being sized in square mm (not diameter), I think they would have the same problem as I have been having. There is nowhere for the excess metal to go except between the halves - it might work, if the die size were close enough to the required size.Did you check fleabay?
There are various crimpers on there not sure how good they are though.
Anyone know the proper name for these? and the tool you use to fix them on please. I got asked for some at work the other day.View attachment 386646
I just use these ,,, not as neat , but easy to deal with , and easy to cut off and put a jubilee clip on when they leak.

I posted a picture of this earlier but I didn't know how well it would work.Aliexpress/Vevor AC hose crimper will do these, and airline ferrules.
But it won't do hydraulic hoses.
It'll do low pressure hydraulic hose ends (for automotive AC applications) but I wouldn't trust it for proper hydraulic work.I posted a picture of this earlier but I didn't know how well it would work.
I guess it does, thanks. Odd that it doesn't do hydraulic hoses though as it's called "VEVOR 71500 Hydraulic Hose Crimper Tool Kit". A different model perhaps.

Also known as Lemon Clips.Ear clips/Clamps. Available in single or double ear.
The tool is ear clip pliers. You can get them in side or end clamping.
Think I've still got some EGA end clamping ones here somewhere if you need a pair?
