Had a look through my ebay history and as with so many of these top quality products, it dosnt exist anymore.. only a link to buy similar, they were pretty much just the cheapest ones I could find and didn't mind the wait from china
Here is an example of the size I bought, not much dearer. Display looks different though
I have recently purchased a Denford Viceroy 280 VS. It is very similar to yours but without the electronic speed control. I am stripping it down and servicing what I can, I also have play on the crosslide like you mentioned. I could really do with some help with the rear motor cover panel. As I am missing that I have the front cover. I can see one picture of yours. I would really be a great help if you could take a few pictures and measurements of your re cover so I can fabricate a new rear cover for mine would be really helpful.
I had a good look on the denford site but could not find anything.
Hi, do you have any pictures of yours and I can see what bits your after? Think the syncro was pretty much the same but with a big lever on the top to adjust the pulley?
Thanks for you help, yes it has a lever that allows the setting of the variable pulley position to be changed.
I have the front cover, and the splash tray but I don't have the rear cover or the hinges for the front cover. Looking at pictures of yours the gearbox doors and covers look the same as mine, accept for the cut out for the electronic speed control cabinet. If you can take measurements of your back cover that would be great, or even some pictures with ruler in shot, as I can probably design/ scale it. I am currently in the process of cleaning and repainting it and servicing what I can.
This is the bit I need to make, if you could be kind enough to share dimensions it would be really helpful, I can then model it up and get a new one laser cut.
really appreciate it, the machine is certainly well built much better than my small Axminster lathe I have, the other thing I noticed you have a thread dial on the lead screw is this something you added or a denford part?
Apologies for the delay in getting sizes, just kept forgetting! Hopefully these are of some use to you for a general layout and size point if veiw
Back to front
Overall height
Gap at bottom
Rear height from top of gap
Setback before slope
Overall width
View from inside showing step up, no idea why it's there, it's a nuisance. If I were making a cover from scratch I'd be tempted just to leave it out and make it flush to the tray. As you can see I had to chop a hole in it with my v belt conversion.
Also the thread dial was with the machine so probably a denford part
