If the starting fuel setting is excessive, it'll do a fair impersonation of a pulse jet, which is more than a bit frightening...
The first time I had it running I went through the set up with the trimmer/fine adjustment screw so that it's low on 1 and high on 6 with 3 being in the middle as opposed to a bit high or low. Took a few minutes of 'tweak and wait' but worth doing. If the starting fuel setting is excessive, it'll do a fair impersonation of a pulse jet, which is more than a bit frightening...
I'm finding it to be brilliant for the workshop as it's a dry/indirect heat. Seems to work best on 3 which keeps the workshop around 10 degrees.Perhaps one of the greatest virtues of the things is their entirely unobtrusive reliability.
No fuss, no drama, no noise or attention seeking, just abundant, economical and safe warmth....
Really well, even on the coldest days, which it has to be said aren't particularly cold although you'd never know that from the media and Met office hysteria. The only difference being that it takes longer to warm the workshop up, it still brings it up to a decent 8 - 10 degrees. How is your Deville holding up in the current weather?
