Hi,
Long time lurker, first time poster.
I have access to an old pigsty where i intend to do some welding / fabrication. Concrete floor, wood panel walls. I currently do some woodworking there, change tires, farm equipment repairs, etc
I'm looking on a couple of options to make a section of this place fireproof:
1. Secluding off a corner with steel clad walls approx. 250 cm high, using old corrugated roofing, and a welding curtain on the side that's not "cornered"
2. Secluding off a corner with welding blankets (vevor seems affordable) on the walls and a curtain on the open side
3. Buying a 3 frame welding curtain on wheels
What would you do?
My welding table is an old cast iron "acorn" table that is, at best, semi-portable. It's about 500 kg and i move it with a pallet jack to the opening / sliding gate every time i weld. it's cumbersome and definitely not optimal. i would prefer to have it stationary
