Hi,all.Here are a few pics at my miserable first attempts at mig welding.I guess it serves me right for jumping in at the deep end,using 1.2mm sheet metal.One thing I noticed was that the welding pool was very small.I played a bit with the voltage and wire speed,but when you're wearing the helmet,you can't read the settings on the machine.It was also quite difficult to see,as daylight was entering the helmet from the top and sides.Obviously,I need to practice a lot more,and probably on thicker steel to begin withI thought you guys could use a good laugh.(or cry).
