Well...steel if flat enough now...just cut a 250x250 square and beat on it with 3lb mallet and it flattened quite easily...then I went and drilled 3 holes in the wrong place...and countersunk them on the wrong side too...

all was going so well...i have lost motivation for now with it...going to know a burner out as i need something to keep me warm and going to make the forge mentioned above...i have some box section here somewhere that should be fine for air feed into the side of it...
