so earlier in the week, my honda decided that a front calliper was gonna seize up,,,
so that was in bits while the seal kit turned up- spent an hour removing the bleed nipple and broke a spanner in the processs
rebuilt it, and it say on the bench cos i had lost a copper washer on the brake banjo
then thursday, wifey rings me her kia has pooed itself on a roundabout and wont restart.... kindly pc turns up managed to start it, and wifey gets a ride in panda car to catch the car up in a layby
rac man turns up... reads the faults, and it says knock sensor low output... car runs ok at this point so he escorts her home
i rebuilt the honda last night- new bleed nipple is shorter than the original and bottoms out on the hex before closing- put the old one back in , bleed and go to motorfactors, and get longer one
rebleed the brakes this morning...
plug in my port reader... it agrees with rac man ... car seems to run fine
now the bit i dont understand, surely a faulty knock sensor would only go limp mode, and throw a light, and not kill the car??
my reader does not show a realtime graph of the knock sensor, but it does show advance, which is all over the place at idle... 10 degrees variance
rev it a bit and it seems to settle down
thoughts ?? crank sensor ??
