As far as i could figure out the Kemppi TU10 unit is a box that allows you to TIG-weld with AC and DC, the only thing is that it needs an external power supply. I am concidering buying a TU 10 unit (that also comes with an 18m long cable package) to enable me to do TIG-welding.
The Kemppi Master 1500 that i have seems to be a bit obscure and hard to find the manual for, but it is a stick welder rated for 150 amps. The manual that i could find for the TU10-unit seems to indicate that i can use any welder from Kemppi as a power source, but i am unsure. 150amps for TIG is more than enough for me. The TU10 unit i found costs 5000NOK, which is around 450GBP, and with the torch package of 18m was a pretty good deal imo for gaining the capabilty of doing both DC and AC TIG as most welders of that capability costs over 10k NOK here, often a whole lot more than 10k aswell. But before i actually buy it i wonder if someone here has any suggestions or advice on wether or not it actually is a good idea or not. Thanks in advance!
