So even though I’m in my early 30s I’ve always stuck with pen and paper when designing a job/product etc
Increasingly the lasers want a proper dxf drawing. I’m also looking into getting a cnc turret punch at some point in the near future to automate some production and then maybe a cnc router
So really I need to up my game and learn CAD mostly 2d but would be great to progress onto 3d. I’ve had a tinker on fusion 360 and have drawn a few useful parts but not much else
What’s the best software to learn on fusion 360, autocad or other? This will be for business use so the free ones probably won’t be suitable. I have a proper gaming laptop that seems to run fusion 360 okay
Also what’s the best way to learn? My attention span is terrible and I can’t see myself being disciplined enough to learn from YouTube or similar.
Exeter college have a 2d cad course
I’m waiting to hear back from Bridgwater to see if they can offer anything and will see what other colleges in the area can offer.
