This one is worn out and needs replaced, does anyone recognise this logo?
Where has the wear occurred. Is there any chance of implementing some "wear compensation" by judicious bending of the existing catch? Might the existing operating lever have been bent back, preventing the catch from going back far enough to latch? Could something be welded or brazed on to effect a repair?

It’s called a loquet excentre
It's made in two sizes, short and long, I found these earlier on the apple web site. Not wishing to throw a spanner into the works or anything, but is there any possibility that style of latch is made in different sizes?
It would be annoying to spend the Euros or pounds only to find that the horsebox one is far away and the Air Liquide one is just small.
Hence, it might be worth still trying to find the OEM for the item.
Edit: I think the OEM is Pommier:
Seond edit:
Yes, they do one with a loop made of 8mm dia. material and also one made from 10mm dia. material.

It has a lot of interesting commercial vehicle body building stuff in it.
Just in case I might need something in the future, who might be a UK-equivalent to Pommier?
