100A?I tried three different Lidl’s on my way home yesterday - No chance of a plasma. Couple of the bandsaws still in and one had a heap of 100A arc welders (never looked at price or spec)
Errrrr.... no.Maybe the thicker earth cable increases resistance - effectively reducing power to cut ??
Other way around.Maybe the thicker earth cable increases resistance - effectively reducing power to cut ??
In layman's terms , think of the conductors in a power cable as pipes of electrons ,, the bigger the pipes internal diameter the more electrons ( current ) can flow through itMaybe the thicker earth cable increases resistance - effectively reducing power to cut ??
Thanks for the answer I'm totally new to welding/plasma cutting hence I asked (question marks) nice to have some one explain properly rather than taking the **** as in other replies. I only asked suggested possible answer as I have heard that an old trick to reduce amperage/voltage can be to use a stainless steel rod on the earth side as a heat sink effectively reducing the amperage,In layman's terms , think of the conductors in a power cable as pipes of electrons ,, the bigger the pipes internal diameter the more electrons ( current ) can flow through it
I can see how that would act as a slightly high resistance return, but I've never seen it used.I only asked suggested possible answer as I have heard that an old trick to reduce amperage/voltage can be to use a stainless steel rod on the earth side as a heat sink effectively reducing the amperage,
Hello, look this morning and only non compressor type plasma cutters, will try another time, the welding masks are not bad for the price, even cheaper with lidl app ,Hello, The Lidl Plasma Cutters are expected in store on 18th in UK, if these are the Non Compressor type, What small Compressor would be suitable to use with this unit, ????
I will try to get mine out and stick a pea shooter and see how much air the lidl built in compressor produces
It wont be for a few days as its buried for the moment,
Would anyone else have a lidl plasma and pea shoorter?
the welding masks are not bad for the price
No, next month they bring out the consumables. Keep an eye out for 'A taste of Australia', plasma consumables, emu underpants and Ayres rock lawnmowers.Just opened the box .Looks neat , not that it means much. made a connector for compressor . One question . what consumables fit the torch? It's got the
No p60 on the torch and the No.PPS 30 b2 on the box but looking at the available consumables has confused me completely. Needless to say the " in depth" instruction manual does not appear to mention them. Many thanks for anticipated replies.
So you bought 4 plasma cutters and completely missed the 'Ramadan ready' collection with it's Everest paneer?Just been to Liverpool to get an Alternator refurbished and came home with a Plasma cutter £140 with built in compressor, only had 4 though
