Indeed. Now I can see how they came out I will be making some more at different lengthsThat's cool, I have made the same though I like to make them a little longer. they are perfect for getting into those small dovetails though.
I’ve probably got the wrong end of the stick, but I’ll ask anyway.Today...I made some slip stones for scraping.

OK. I only scrape one surface at a time. Every time you do a pass of scraping I lightly stone the surface to basically de burr it. I do this on every single pass. And that applies to all surfaces. Hope that makes sense..I am dyslexic so explaining things in text is a challenge at timesI’ve probably got the wrong end of the stick, but I’ll ask anyway.
How do you use these in practice? Do you slip something underneath or on top so you’re only stoning one face of the dovetail at a time? Seems like you scrape them one face at a time from what you’ve written.
Excellent stuff as always, in any case…
I think it’s it’s my fault for over complicating the question, you’re making perfect sense. My apologies.OK. I only scrape one surface at a time. If you look at the picture below. The angle I cut the slip stone at is less than the v way on the cross side. It will only contact the surface I am de burringI think it’s it’s my fault for over complicating the question, you’re making perfect sense. My apologies.
What I was getting at was, how do you protect the face you’ve scraped when you deburr the adjacent face?
Gotcha. Thanks for explaining that, I didn’t think there’d be space to be able to do that, but clearly the milled relief gives you more room than I thought. If you look at the picture below.
