anyone one on here ever made a bike lift ?

Yes thats one of mine, I cant really take credit for the design, there's loads of them on the market all similar...
Id do something like Tig Paul has done but not use a bottle jack... Use a screw jack instead and weld a 1/2" socket onto the screw, then you can wind/unwind with an impact.

I've decided not to give away Cad drawings for these lifts, although the basic design has been copied many times, I did spend a bit of time drawing it, there may also be an issue with liability if one made to my drawing failed, and you never know I might even start making them again.
To help with anyone who wants to make one though, you can scale up this drawing and make up your own mind how to do it, the top frame is 2184mm long or 86", there is one on ebay at the moment, it looks like on one we made but with an aluminium top fitted clicky.

Motorlift: I made this motorlift with the plans i got from a friend. For mine i changed it a bit , mine is longer and higher than shown in the plans. It can easily lift my motorbike which ways about 170 kilo. I also use it a lot as an extra workbench.www.instructables.com
