It's like they've gone backwards from the FX. Which I rate so highly. You know mines been up and down the country, in furnaces, incinerators, shredders, cement mills. Takes a licking and keeps on ticking.Thanks for that Brad.
Bit of a shame. It looks awesome in the promo material. Still looks a lot better built than any other brand's combi helmet, mind. The Esab g50 is absolutely horrible, and that's a £500 kit. Just seems like the G5-01 should have been priced a bit lower... not that 3M would ever do that.
My thought is, if that's the best grinding/welding hood that you can buy today... and it's an essential piece of PPE... it's pretty damn disappointing.
Not allowed non air fed masks on most sites I work at now.I've had my g501 since Jan and it's OK to be honest nice and clear and comfy. Mind you if I'm on fcaw I use my fx and on sight I revert to my old flip front
