Curious just picked this guy up (Not literally as I seriously cant make this thing budge a centimetre off the ground) For £20 locally. The old man who dropped it off, did so with one hand... He placed it on the floor of my house for me and its been sat there since as I cant move it.
It works just fine, opens and closes all the way smoothly and the quick release makes a nice click and works as intended. On the side of it, I believe it says "Parkinsons Model F , Perfect patent Mark, No.7" the colour is a dark black/ blue ish hue.
Would love to know what these models in particular were used for, how much it weighs, when it was made, what material the teeth are made of, and if this would be suitable for twisting hot metal by a blacksmith? Any other information you may have would certainly be a bonus, I'd love to hear it all.
