Hi everyone hope you are all doing well.
So I'm pretty busy those days between work,my car,my Jobs etc .
In these days is happening very often to have to flame cut at work.
I'm getting upset about my inconsistence cutting.
Is very frustrating to cut for about 20cm no problems then metal explodes spraying red hot metal everywhere leaving holes on the sheet I'm cutting and as yesterday on my left arm.
Situation at work is far from ideal.
Propane regulator doesn't work on a oxy propane rig and the torch on the other is just rubbish.
Cutting tips are chewed up very badly.
The only one good is the one mounted onto the torch I use which is the one with the bad regulator.
Forcing me to use about 5 bar oxygen pressure
Because propane starts come out at higher pressure.
The most neutral looking flame I can obtain is roughly 1 ½" radius star pattern while touching the flames cones on metal .
We use mostly recycled materials.
Boss doesn't buy new tips ,new torches or any kind of tools .
Am I wasting my time thinking I can improve my cutting, with the resources at my disposal at work?
Would like to get better to avoid tons of grinding and GAP filling welds .
It's enormous amount of wasted time and I'm starting to get tired, corridge I'm tired.
Hope you have some tips to make my situation better
