Hi all - first time poster - I picked up one of these a couple of weeks ago https://manuall.co.uk/parkside-pmsg-200-a1-welder/, £160 from what I can remember. I'd been toying with a Chinesium multi welder off Banggood or Ebay or similar, or even the Rohr Mig 200-MI, but plumped for the Lidl option given the rock solid guarantee.
Was surprised to see so little in the way of English language reviews or guidance though. I bought it with the intention of light repairs on car bodywork - it's supplied with 1mm gasless and gas wires. I've tested with a roll of 0.7mm + gas that I had from my old Sealey on fairly light gauge metal that I patch with for bodywork but am struggling with settings. Settings seem to be for amps and voltage but wirespeed seems to be pre-set?
Has anyone any experience with this set - especially on light gauge MIG work? Youtube is coming down with reviews, upgrades to wire feeds, fans etc but mostly in German which my GCSE level lingo isn't keeping up with...plus most of the youtube unboxing reviews seem to want to concentrate on how good it is on heavy gauge material.
