I’ve manufactured stainless steel parts for this particular company for years. Another company used to take care of the fabrication and welding side of things. They have had a major falling out and my customer is now asking if I cannot do the whole lot in house. To do so , I would need to invest a bit into a mig welder as my Kempii 200 wouldn’t be up to it. Recommendations please. Mainly 316 ss. Schedule 40 pipe onto 4/8/10mm thick laser cut components.Box section onto similar thickness plate, maximum 10mm thick. Thinking about going the pulsed route to minimise warpage. Not particularly long runs. Preferably three phase. Not sure if it would warrant a water cooled torch? Budget of a couple of grand. Discuss….
