Hey,
(Current machine: Kemppi Kempact RA 253A, New machine: Kemppi Master M 358G)
Looking for a little bit help with a new machine purchase and its requirements.
I currently use Argosheild Light (93% Ar, 5% CO2, 2% O2) with my current machine, its programs have never been 100% right because this wasn't a gas it was designed for, so mostly used it in manual mode.
The new machine, being as its rather expensive and has allot of programs I would like to be able to use (otherwise throwing away allot of the functionality), but in the manual its programs are for Argon+8% and Argon+18%.
Speaking to my welding shop that supplies me the shielding gas, they said that BOC doesn't offer this.
So question is can Argon+8% be replaced with 93%Ar, 5%CO2, 2%O2?
If not where can I get Argon+8% and how would it compare to Argosheild Light?
