My Crypton Triangle Spot Welder stopped working again. One of the wires protruding from the Transformers inner coil has broken just as it leaves the winding. I've stripped off all the steel plates and separated the inner winding as you can see.
Now I presume I cut the fabric outer insulation to reveal the break and attach a new length of copper wire - but how do I connect this repair as I presume the winding will get hot so solder would not be appropriate?
And then - with what do I repair the insulation with?
