I have some old single pane stained glass windows that are openable but I would like them to not be.
The handle has been broken and is not secure.
We don't mind never being able to open them so I was wondering if I could mig weld the corners to keep them from being pulled open from outside (they are next to our front door).
The challenge I have is that I wonder if they are iron windows; the shavings that came off them today when grinding a couple of bolts off were very magnetic. The windows are early 1930s.
I have a normal mig welder, what are people's thoughts?
Thanks
