Tap wrench for an M2 tap?

Last time I had to go to a&e was to do with my hand, the nurse spent 20mins trying to scrub the oil off my hands before another nurse pointed out that she's probably have to take 3 layers of skin off to get past the staining!

Just bend a small piece of thin sheet steel into an L shape and use it as a packing piece to make your wrench fit. won't take more than a couple of seconds.

I use pin chucks for small taps lik 14BA hives better control too

I have a tap holder that hides that size. It's with my little set of BA taps which are tiny.

As suggested both in the thread and via PM I used a bit of an old drinks can to pack it with

Only one done but its rock solid now, the lens would turn in the adapter before when altering the aperture
I will probably put another one in, didnt realise quite how small M2 x 3mm grub screws would be....

And to the op, I see tears in the future using an m2 tap!

M2 tap's are large compares to 14 BA. I hold all my small taps in an Eclipse tap holder, no problems. http://www.tilgear.info/ecl141twr--eclipse-tap-wrench-0--m35

Smallest hole I've ever tapped (ooh er misses)

M2 was chosen as the mount is a bayonet and it fitted between the grooves. I wouldn't want to go any smaller

I bought these off snap on, there are two sizes not sure what the small on goes down to, but they are excellent, they have a 3/8 drive so can used direct with a tee bar or any extension, longest one i have is 1meter, have used them for holding drill bits to drill holes down in awkward places and even used my cv U/J joint, to drill starter bolts out on a transit once coz the torx heads round, or clean threads with taps, with the threaded hole that you cant even see.

It's Snap On, so work out what it's worth, then double it. That should get you pretty close

Just been out and tried the smallest one for you, the smallest drill it will grip is 3mm just wont grip 2.5

that is 3mm drill sat in it

He said he's never seen them but he'll ask the dealer when he next sees him.

I have had all kinds over the year but these are the dogs mate BTW the snap on one are as in the first pic with snap on on the side not irwin
i buy a lot of stuff from usa and my mate brings or sends them over
just got some grease cap pliers £76 in uk none avail S/h here
just paid £20 inc postage to my mate in usa ok wont have them till end of the month but hey ho
