Taking on finishing a project for a friend.
The downstairs toilet door frame and wall has been taken out.
This was done in order to insert a complete airplane toilet cubicle.
I now need to make it all work.
Main issue will be finding a toilet. Can't use a plane one as vacuum flush. Needs to be stainless steel. Needs to fit inside the plastic housing. Only part that will be seen is the inside of the bowl, so outer shell of the toilet could be modified. All I know is stainless toilets are hard to find, and expensive. Reclaim wpuld be best ad I'm pretty sure I'll need to cut up whatever o try and use.
Any thoughts?
Behind the cubicle there is a dudley cistern. I have the pneumatic flush. The button could go where the original was I guess, but would be better if I could use the original push button to make it flush.
The button I think is just a momentary push to make switch
Any ideas on setting this up? Not sure of I could use a low voltage power supply and use a solenoid.
Any thoughts on using a solenoid to activate the pneumatic flush, or if I should use a mechanical flush, or if I could use the button to power a pump?
Speaking of pumps, there is this fitting too
This, when opened, releases a jet of air. So there needs to be permanent air pressure behind it. Only thing I can come up with is to have a small compressor which comes on with the lights and extractor.
I am now wondering if I could also use this air supply with a solenoid, to trigger the pneumatic flush on the cistern.
The sink should be simple enough, extraction should be easy too.
New don't frame, repair the brickwork, panel in the gap between the door and the cubicle and it should all be good.
Toilet pan is going to be the main issue. Anyone got a scrap (I.e. cheap!) Stainless toilet bowl I can cut up?
