Hi All ,
Here is my first go at a sculpture/model from scrap components, it is for my brother in laws 60th birthday as he has rediscovered his youth and got back into motorbiking, it is made almost entirely of parts that were left as is, they come from test pieces from our metallurgy lab, an old pair of slip joint pliers, the seat is a box catch, the gears are from heat treatment trials ,the headlight a tap reseat cutter that had come from a batch again for heat treatment, rear mudguard a pipe clamp, the tank and engine from diesel injectors that had been cut for hardness test, frame a couple of brackets ,the welding is a bit blobby but it should hold, about 18ins long
I tried to use the bits without to much reshaping,
What should I do to finish it? leave it ,rust it , get it gently bead blasted,
Is there any one with an engraver on the forum who would make me a number plate SJA 60 for a small consideration? Needs to be about 1 inch x 3/4 inch
Collecting more bits now for the other brother in law !
thanks for reading
