Hi, Mike , his birthday isnt until late July so anytime in the next 4 weeks or so,thanks again, although the ones you have done look good,Unfortunately I have not quite been able to produce the plate as I wanted so far with raised letters and outer edge as I do not have a cutter small enough, I tried re-grinding an old one but it didn't work. When do you need the plate by?
Mike
Hi Again , that looks the business!! I dont see how you could improve it!
thanks
Chris
Hi Mike ,the plate is indeed exquisite, i have "found" a small pump component that i will weld to the rear mudguard and epoxy the plate to that, again thank you for your interest and work on this plate,my brother in law will be emotional over this,Excellent model !
Exquisite plates !
but - is it only me who would be Extremely worried about welding these into place?
Found a fine point cutter that will produce the raised letters with bevelled edges to simulate cast letters rivetted on. The fonts vary slightly in width so cannot get the letters spot on although I'm quite pleased with the way they have come out, much better than the engraved letters on the left hand one. Just some paint issues to overcome as this was done with a spray can and is quite thick, might need to airbrush the black on.

Amazing work.
or a builders mugYou should have put a rule in the pic to give an idea of scale.
I love the one on the right, it looks perfect!View attachment 44372
Had a bit of a play, I think the font is pretty close. The left two have letters engraved into painted sheet, the right one is engraved to leave the letters proud then filled with paint but the cutter needs to be smaller as the letter width has reduced and there is hardly any paint depth. It would come out great full-size!
